Recitation of a Hadith Qudsi
Is the recitation of a Hadith Qudsi rewarded in a similar way to the Quran, where the recitation of each word is rewarded? Or is it such that it is rewarded based upon intention, in other words the recitation of a Hadith Qudsi has no inherent reward.
Is this then the case with all ahadith?
Salaam, the reward for the Quran is specified and highlighted by numerous narrations "I heard 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud saying: 'The Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said: "[Whoever recites a letter] from Allah's Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter." (tirmidhi) Other hadith mention the Qur'an will be an intercessor for us on the day of Judgement
These rewards are specific for the Quran as it's recitation is an act of worship. Reading Hadith Qudsi are not ranked the same as verses of the Quran thus are not covered within these virtues. Reading hadith of course have a reward in particular if it was done with the intention of seeking guidance and knowledge then the reward of these actions such as the Hadith which states "Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise."Â (Sahih Muslim).Â
